Allariz (Ourense), November 13, 2023.- The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Emilio González, participates in the program Literary Encounters of the IES Allariz, by the hand of the Ourense author, Alba Cid, and carried out by the Ministry of Culture and Sport through the General Directorate of Books, Comics and Reading.
The subdelegate highlights the great reception of the program with more than two decades of history. This reader entertainment program offers students the opportunity to get to know the work of narrators, poets, playwrights, illustrators or translators, and is an opportunity for participating authors to take a pulse on the interests of young readers.
In the province of Ourense there are three public institutes that participate in this new edition of the program: the IES Jesús Ferro Couselo, the IES Universidade Trabajo and the IES de Allariz. Last Monday, November 6, at the IES Universidade Trabajo, 3rd year students of ESO participated in the reading of an essay by the writer Rosa Huertas. At the same time, in the IES Jesús Ferro Couselo, the author Alba Cid, developed the activity corresponding to the program.
The Ourense author Alba Cid is recognized for having been awarded various literary prizes. Among them, the Miguel Hernández National Prize for Young Poetry stands out for his work Atlas, which, according to the jury, constitutes "a reflection on literature makes maps of reality and on the moral value that literature can theber as problematization of the world".
Alba Cid ha publicado textos en diversos libros colectivos, como Poética da casa (2006), 6 poemas 6. Tribute to Federico García Lorca (2015) or Librosconversos (2016), and in the magazines Dorna, Raigame, Algália, Grial and Luzes . He also maintained various spaces on the network, such as the Travel Diary: birds that were Ottoman princes or his Instagram account, in addition to collaborating in various digital publications, such as Noir Magazine.
