The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, praised the new consistorial house of Silleda as “a building of the future that builds a better Silleda and that makes this municipality advance as a reference of modernity and sustainability”. The delegate participated this morning, together with the mayor, Manuel Cuiña, in the inauguration of what he described as “the new house of the entire neighborhood of Trasdeza”, highlighting the qualities and conditions of a property “typical of the 21st century, which in addition to being one of the most beautiful consistories of Galicia guarantees greater services and better attention to citizenship, while becoming the social and cultural axis of this town”.
Pedro Blanco recalled that Silleda is a municipality that has the “determined support of the Government of Spain” exemplified in the new town hall itself, whose supply of heating and hot water comes from the second phase of the Silleda heat network, which was executed with an aid of more than 156,000 euros from the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.
Likewise, the Government of Pedro Sánchez allocated 681,000 euros to the improvement of Progreso Street and the humanization of Siñor Afranio Square. It also supports the reform of the Plaza de Bandeira, with more than 800,000 euros and has just approved another aid of 250,000 for the project of safe school roads. “These are actions promoted by this Government through the Recovery Plan, which exemplify the commitment of this Executive with the municipalities and with the municipality,” said Pedro Blanco.
The government delegate took advantage of his visit to Silleda to influence the government’s “commitment to social and territorial cohesion in which infrastructures play a fundamental role”. Thus, he recalled that the Government of Pedro Sánchez “is going to pay a historical debt to the Deza by finally reducing the toll of the AP-53 that will benefit more than 7,000 families and companies that use this highway daily”.
