The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo announced this morning that starting next Thursday, November 16, the Provincial Traffic Headquarters will change the starting points of the practical exams to obtain the driving license. The Pazo de San Marcos hosted the signing of the agreement signed by the president of the Provincial Council of Lugo, Tomé Roca, and the Provincial Head of Traffic, Ángel Álvarez, to regulate its use with all legal guarantees.
Isabel Rodríguez thanked “the predisposition of the President of the provincial institution to sign the agreement and that the new locations are more comfortable for the aspirants and allow a wide variety of routes, both urban and interurban”.
Therefore, the exams will return to the parking lot of the Pazo Provincial de los Deportes, an area in which it is also possible to protect yourself and which also benefits from the gazebo built last year to favor the movements of access and exit between the N-6 and the Rúa Alfonso X or Sabio.
The deputy delegate also wanted to thank the mayor of Lugo, Lara Méndez, for authorizing and conditioning the parking of the Polygon of the Gandaras, the main novelty as an exit point in an area between the Calle de los Servicios and the Calle de las Comunicaciones. This new location is especially interesting, in the opinion of the Provincial Traffic Headquarters, in the tests to obtain the permit of truck or bus, of longer duration than those of tourism.
Finally, we will continue using the current starting point located on the Students’ Walk, next to the Ramón Halcón School of Art and Design Superior, whose location is considered optimal.
Last year, just over 6,000 traffic examinations were carried out in the province, of which almost 4,000 were carried out in the city of Lugo, a figure similar to the previous year. Not until 2023, in the province they carry almost 5,500 circulation tests, more than 3,400 in the capital.
