The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, stressed this morning in the city of Sarria the intense work of coordination and collaboration that are being carried out by the Civil Guard and the local police of the different municipalities of the province. He did so during the days of coexistence attended by members of both bodies with the aim of “giving a more effective response and offering a better service to citizens.”
The deputy delegate said that “both the civil guards and the local police channel many of the demands and needs of the neighborhood in first person, in permanent contact with the people,” so she stressed at the closing of the day “the importance of strengthening ties to improve security and coordination.”
At this meeting they exchanged information on the work to be carried out by the different departments, such as the Judicial Police, the Traffic subsector, the Maritime Service or the Nature Protection Unit, also gathering the needs of the Local Police.
Rodríguez said that “today we take another step in the collaboration of the two bodies”, alluding to the need to continue renewing the agreements to work in a joint and coordinated way, “a key condition to respond to the new challenges that we face as a society”.
He thanked the mayor, Claudio Garrido, for the good reception of this day, as well as the promotion of this appointment by the head of Lugo’s command, Julio González Te las. “I would like to thank all of you for the good disposition and your presence and interest in this meeting, which I am convinced will facilitate many of the procedures and will positively result in the safety of all Lucenses.”
