“Road to Europe”
The project “Camino de Europa” is carried out by nine companies, municipalities and associations of the communities through which the main pilgrimage route of Xacobea passes. In Galicia they are part of the project to Community of Galician Municipalities of the Camino Frances and the City of Melide.
The project focuses on the implementation of a technological platform that will directly connect people who want to experience the Camino with local companies and producers. All with the aim of offering a unique experience of discovery and travel of the Camino and with a double benefit. On the one hand, it will meet the needs of pilgrims of the 21st century, who will be able to organize their trip, get to know the cultural and artistic heritage, consume local products and experience authentic experiences along the localities of the Camino that they cross. On the other hand, it will benefit local businesses, some 3,000 along the route, who will be able to offer their products and experiences in a new digital environment.
