A total of 5,397 boys and girls from the province of A Coruña are benefiting from the Cultural Bonus of 400 euros. A bonus from the Ministry of Culture and Sport for all young people who are 18 years old this year and in which in these months a total of 2,158,800 euros has already been invested of the almost 4M euros that are available.
The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, recalls that there are a total of 9,571 people in the province born in 2005, so 4,174 boys and girls are still in time to request it until next September 30, the date on which the deadline ends.
The bonus can be requested on the website www.bonoculturajoven.gob.es, in which you will also find the entities and companies where you can use the Bonus both physically and online.
So far this year, 21,414 purchases have already been made in the amount of 817,917.40 euros, which, as the subdelegate stresses, “represents a significant economic injection for all the establishments adhered to the program, precisely one of the objectives that the Government pursues with this initiative, to revitalize a sector that was very damaged during the pandemic”.
So far there are 90 establishments adhered to, so María Rivas also encourages all cultural establishments to join the Cultural Voucher. In this regard, María Rivas emphasizes the important work of promotion that is being carried out by the Government to publicize the Cultural Bond among the entire young population.
“We must encourage its use, we must invite our youth to take risks and discover new forms of culture, and this is a good opportunity to do so,” underlines the Government’s deputy delegate.
On the other hand, María Rivas also reminds all those born in 2004 and who currently still care about the unconsumed bonus, to be careful that they do not miss the time to do so. To do this both in the application and on the web they have a counter that tells them how much time they have left to use it.
About the cultural bonus
From the granting of the aid, the beneficiaries have one year to use the 400 euros in cultural products or services in the affiliated establishments, which already exceed 3,000 throughout Spain.
The Cultural Voucher works with a prepaid card that beneficiaries can have in virtual format on their mobile device or in physical format, which they will receive at home.
With this card you can enjoy cultural experiences and products, which are divided into three sections to favor diversification between the different cultural sectors, with the following distribution:
- 100 euros for physical products, for example books, press or discs
-100 euros for digital products: digital press, podcast, online video games
- 200 euros for performing arts: theater, opera, cinema, dance, museums.
