The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, today encouraged the Lucense youth to apply for the voucher before September 30 . The subdelegate reported that 1,145 young people from the province carried out more than 4,105 operations worth 163,507 euros through the Xove Culture Voucher of the Ministry of Culture and Sport, which allocates 9,259,600 euros so that young people and young people have an aid of 400 euros to spend on cultural activities and goods. “We want to remember that people born in 2005 have the right to apply for it this month, with which we intend that new adults have easier access to a sector than work for 700.00 people and has a great impact on the economy representing 3.2% of GDP.”
Isabel Rodríguez, accompanied by the councilor for Youth and Sports, Jorge Bustos; the manager of the Las Termas Shopping Center, Esteban Patiño, and one of the managers of Game, a store specialized in video games, David Rego, saw at first hand how the initiative is going, in which “about 50% of Lucense’s youth” are participating in Lugo and are still in time to be more, since the deadline is 30 of this month, both to request it and to spend last year’s aid, which was dedicated to those born in 2004.
“This aid allows beneficiaries to consume content distributed in multiple formats to explore a rich and varied cultural offer,” said the deputy delegate. During the visit, the government representative in the province remarked that “devoting resources to culture is one of the most powerful tools we have at our disposal to instill in people critical and diverse thoughts and looks.”
In Lugo, there are 29 establishments including bookshops, movie theaters, digital and online product stores or places specializing in video games, movies, among others. Interested parties need to identify themselves digitally through Cl@ve or the Digital Certificate. They can carry out the procedure personally or through the representation of an adult, for which it is necessary to bring the downloadable representation form on the website, correctly signed by the beneficiary and representative. Once the aid is granted, the total amount is paid in a single payment, in nominal virtual prepaid card format that is in force during the twelve months following the concession. The card is personal and non-transferable.
Three categories to spend
The Xove Culture Bonus is divided into three sections:
- 200 euros for live arts, cultural heritage and audiovisual arts.
- 100 euros for cultural products in physical form, such as books, magazines, press, or other periodicals.
- 100 euros for digital or online consumption in which subscriptions and rentals to virtual platforms come in.
