The Government delegate, Pedro Blanco, traveled today to the city of Antas de Ulla to supervise, together with its mayor, Pilar García Porto, the actions that are being financed in the municipality with the support of the Government, a support that materializes in an investment of 1.12 million euros.
After holding a meeting in the City Council in which Pedro Blanco transferred his commitment to make these projects a reality, the government delegate and the councilor went to the Casa da Cultura, which in the coming months will be subject to improvements that will allow to reorder spaces to be able to host a more attractive cultural offer.
This will be possible thanks to the contribution of 816,885 euros from the Government for an action amounting to 945 billion euros, which will be completed by the City of Antas de Ulla, and which will also serve to fix its roof and façade and thus improve its energy efficiency.
Along with this action, the mayor and the delegate reviewed other investments of the Government in the locality, such as the 241,412 euros in aid for energy efficiency, which allowed the renewal of almost all the city’s points of light, or the effort to bring high-speed internet to about 400 homes and businesses of Antas de Ulla, which until now did not enjoy this service, with the UNICO Program of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
Praza Nova
Apart from these investments, the City Council is also awaiting the resolution of an aid of 400,000 euros from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism from the funds of the Government Recovery Plan to condition the space and humanize the environment of the Praza Nova.
“We are facing different signs of the commitment of the Government of Spain and the president, Pedro Sánchez, with the municipality and with the improvement of public services and quality of life of the population of the municipalities with fewer inhabitants; actions that, for the first time, reach each and every one of the municipalities of Galicia,” said Pedro Blanco.
