The Subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, presided today , the Local Security Board of the 54th Ferrol Rally, which will be held on 19 and 20 August with 87 participants and in which it is planned to mobilize approximately 900 people.
During the meeting that took place in the subdelegation of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas stressed the need to coordinate efforts, resources and information so that there are as few incidents as possible, especially among the public that comes to witness the event and among neighbors to try to minimize the impact of the rally. In this sense, the evacuation routes that allow the passage of ambulances if necessary and also the assistance to dependent people are guaranteed.
The subdelegate stressed the importance “of coordination between the different administrations so that one more year this test develops with all the guarantees, in what has already been an unavoidable car appointment in the summer of the region”. Today, all the security measures and devices that will be deployed on the days of the race were reviewed and supervised in order to ensure the correct development of the two stages of the Rally.
The participants of the 54th Ferrol Rally will resort to a total of 349.47 kilometers, divided into two stages and will deliver 7,600 euros of cash prizes to the top 6 finishers, both pilots and co-pilots.
The agents of the Security Forces and Corps of the regions of Ferrol and Narón participated in the meeting, as well as the Councilor for Security of the City of Ferrol, Local Police, Xunta de Galicia, Civil Traffic Guard, DGT, automobile federation and automotive team of Ferrol.
