The Deputy Delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, today fired the Head of the Coastal Demarcation of Galicia, Rafael Eimil, a position he has held since 2004, on the occasion of his retirement
María Rivas thanked the work and dedication developed by this engineer of Paths, Channels and Portos in the General Administration of the State. At the head of the Demarcation of Coasts, Rafael Eimil participated in hundreds of projects and actions to protect and recover the land’s maritime public domain to improve accessibility to the coastline, such as actions of regeneration of marshes, wetlands and dune systems, beach regeneration or actions on borders and coastal paths.
Member of the Corps of Technical Engineers of Public Works and Engineers of Roads, Canals and Portos of the General Administration of the State, Rafael Eimil held various positions in the Demarcation of Roads, in the Service of Coordination of Public Works in Galicia and in the Port Authority of Palma de Mallorca
Since 1988, he worked in the State Coast Demarcation in Galicia, of which he was appointed head in 2004, a position he held until today.
