The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, visited this morning the City of Cee where he evaluated with the mayor, Margarita Lamela, the latest aid granted by the government to the municipality to transform the market of supplies and improve the environment of the school “Vila de Cee”. The delegate assessed the “enormous impact” of the Government’s investments in the municipality, of up to 3.5 million euros in different calls “and that make Cee one of the municipalities that received the most funds from the Government in the region in recent years,” said the delegate.
Pedro Blanco pointed out that the actions that were carried out and those that are going to be carried out with the approved funds certify the commitment of the Government of Pedro Sánchez “with the municipalities, which we tend to hand to advance in its green transition, in the transformation of the economy and in its digitalization”. And he pointed out that the latest concessions are part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, confirming that every citizen of Galicia arrives.
Improvement of municipal purchase
The delegate transferred to the mayor of Cee the support of the Government of Spain, through the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, to the project of transformation of the municipal purchase AmaCee, for which it has granted a subsidy of 1,057,979.36 euros. The grant represents 80% of the total project (amounting to 1,322,474.19 euros). It is part of the call 2022 for aid to promote sustainable urban purchases, one of the trade support lines implemented by the Ministry of Industry within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. Last week the Ministry published the provisional resolution of this call, of which the delegate was convinced that “we will ratify it in the final resolution and that the merchants and the neighborhood of Cee will benefit sooner rather than later from this improvement project; a project in which the local government put great effort”. This aid is in addition to the recent grant of 541,461.36 euros through the program of the Ministry of Health and the FEMP for the promotion of healthy lifestyle habits in municipalities and which is also part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The delegate pointed out that this financing will allow to rehabilitate the environment of the CEIP “Vila de Cee” favoring pedestrian itineraries in this environment.
Energy saving
In the field of energy transition, Pedro Blanco recalled that the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge already financed with about 2 million euros the renovation of all public lighting in the municipality. Twelve projects were carried out on the municipal exterior lighting and another on the rehabilitation of the thermal envelope of the Municipal Services Administrative Building of the City Council.
High Speed Internet Connection
Along with this support, the Government also promotes the digital transition of Cee, in this case through the UNICO-Broadband program and also the Recovery Plan. In particular, the delegate said that the government will bring the high-speed internet connection through fiber to more than 400 homes and companies in this city. In the region as a whole, more than 8,100 homes and premises will gain this connectivity before the end of 2024.
