The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, has supervised the last details of the logistical device that is being developed for the elections of 23J in which 1,085,672 voters will vote. María Rivas has approached the warehouse from which staff, both from the delegation and from the subdelegation of the Government, distribute all the electoral material to the 93 municipalities of the province and to the agencies involved in the electoral process.
During these days, the Administration staff working on this device distributes the 10,241,040 ballot papers that have been printed for Congress and the 1,250,000 that have been printed for the Senate and that will be distributed among the 1,544 tables distributed by the 886 electoral venues throughout the province. In total, 3,088 ballot boxes and 889 booths will be available to choose the ballot papers.
The tables will be attended by 4,632 members and 1,015 representatives of the Administration who will be responsible for verifying the correct opening of tables, resolving incidents and collecting the data of the vote count. 10.241.040 for Congress and 1. 250,000 for the Senate.
The government subdelegation allocates 1,367,317.51 million euros to the costs arising from the logistics and security of this electoral process, with 2,196 members of the security forces and bodies. Of this amount, a significant part goes to pay the approximately 8,000 people who work in the preparation and development of the electoral day.
From the total electoral census, 922,306 people correspond to the census of resident electors (CER) while 163,366 are people from the electoral census of Spaniards residing abroad (CERA). As for the postal vote in the province of A Coruña, 59,226 applications have been received, of which 42,437 were made in person and 16,789 were made through the web.
María Rivas thanked the Administration’s staff for their involvement and collaboration to make it easier for the electoral process to work perfectly and thus guarantee the appointment with the ballot boxes.
