Isabel Rodríguez receives the 15 civil guards in practices that are incorporated to the province of Lugo
The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, welcomed today the new students of the Civil Guard who join the Lugo Command to carry out the practices with which they will complete their training. The deputy delegate was accompanied in the presentation by the acting lieutenant colonel, Julio González.
The assistant delegate encouraged them “to undertake a new formative stage in Lugo where they can acquire a vital experience for their professional future”. In addition, he said that “it represents a very important reinforcement in terms of security for our province, which will have an impact on the improvement of services to the citizen”. In relation to this, he said that the Government of Spain is doing an intense job and reported that “thanks to the public job offers a total of 36 places were recovered since 2017, reaching the 1,004 Civil Guard troops today in the province.”
Isabel Rodríguez greeted this Tuesday the 15 guards in practice, which belong to the 128 promotion of the Academy of Baeza, in Jaén; and the 169 promotion of the College of Young Guards of Valdemoro, Madrid; in an act that took place in the courtyard of arms of the Command of the Civil Guard of Lugo.
On the other hand, Isabel Rodríguez congratulated the Lugo Command for the work done, stating that Lugo is one of the safest provinces in the province, with a crime rate well below the national average. In this sense, he reminded the new civil guards of the important service to the community provided by the institution, of which he said that he has the affection of the Lucenses, in the protection of citizenship.
She also emphasized in her intervention the innovative measures put in place to increase the presence of women in the Civil Guard. “Today, of the 15 people you join, 7 are women. It is a joy and immense pride to see that the benemérita is an attractive body for women, which does not limit their personal development or prevent them from achieving all their aspirations,” he added.
Finally, the subdelegate wished them all the luck and professional success for this new stage that begins in Lugo. “I hope that when you finish your training some of you will choose this Command as your destiny. Because Lugo is a land of welcome that will receive you with open arms,” he reiterated.
