The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, chaired the Local Security Board together with the mayor of Vimianzo, Mónica Rodríguez. At the extraordinary meeting held today in the city hall, the security device was coordinated that will be developed during the next two weekends, on June 30 and July 1 with the Assault on Castelo and on July 8 and 9 with the celebration of the Faguía de Carnés.
Next Friday, June 30, the 26th edition of the Asalto al Castelo arrives at the city hall. This festival brings together every year an important number of people who want to enjoy an event declared a Festival of Galician Tourist Interest. In addition, the festivities continue on July 8 with the traditional Faguía de Carnés that this year incorporates to its poster the main music orchestras of the Galician panorama as well as Andy and Lucas.
The subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña highlighted the maximum collaboration between the subdelegation of the Government and the city of Vimianzo to guarantee the safety of the people attending and asked the neighborhood to be very careful, to comply with the rules provided and to attend to the indications of the people who make up the security device so that everything happens normally.
During the course of the meeting, a review was made of the moments with the most influx of public to deploy the device that is coordinated with the local police and the work to be carried out by the different security and emergency bodies was planned to prevent possible incidents.
The device to guarantee security in the celebrations will be reinforced with Citizen Security personnel of the Command of the Civil Guard of A Coruña. In addition, patrols from the Civil Traffic Guard of Corcubión will be present and support will be given to the Local Police with agents from other municipalities. In addition, Civil Protection will also have 15 personnel.
Both the deputy delegate and the mayor put in value the coordination so that this type of celebrations so emblematic for the province can be developed in a safe and organized way. María Rivas stressed the importance of paying attention to this type of festivities as they attract a large number of audiences and we have to ensure that they can enjoy in safety.
On the other hand, the city council reported that it will also have a violet point of attention and information on issues of equality and diversity during the celebration of the festivities.
