The subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, attended today the presentation of the third edition of the Automobile Fair which, organized by the Association of Entrepreneurs of Agrela, is held from June 29 to July 1.
The deputy delegate congratulated the business association for being able to take advantage of all the synergies and join forces for another year. “There is no doubt that A Grela is a reference in the world of the engine both at local and provincial level, not only by the number of concessionaires but also by the auxiliary companies that arise next to them and that result in economic growth,” said María Rivas.
The subdelegate stressed the need to encourage and promote sustainable mobility “a fundamental pillar of the energy transition and in which this country, this society is immersed”.
María Rivas recalled the aid that exists for electric mobility, within the MOVES III program with the objective of promoting the purchase of electric vehicles and promoting self-consumption facilities and public and private points of sale.
In this regard, the subdelegate appealed to the concessionaires to publicize this aid among customers and thus contribute to a sustainable energy transition. “From the administrations we must make every effort to make the path easier for this transition,” she stressed.
María Rivas stressed that the automotive sector is “crucial and strategic” for the Spanish economy, both for its weight in GDP and for the direct and indirect employment it generates. Spain is the second European vehicle manufacturer and the ninth worldwide. The automotive sector is the fourth largest exporter and accounts for 15% of total Spanish exports.
In the presentation of this third edition of the Motor Fair, the subdelegate was also accompanied by the president of the association of entrepreneurs of Agrela, Begoña López and by the president of the confederation of Entrepreneurs of A Coruña, Antonio Fontenla .
