The subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, traveled to the Polysports Pavilion of As Somozas to attend the media exhibition of the Civil Guard, framed within the School Coexistence Plan, with the aim of raising awareness of the media with which they have and bringing their work closer to society.
In addition, non-perishable food is also collected for people in vulnerable situations. The activity took place throughout the morning and featured demonstrations by the specialists in which the USECIC (Citizen Security Unit of the Command) participated; the GREIM (Special Rescue Group for Mountain Intervention); the TEDAX (Explosives Deactivation Service) and the Service Cinolóxico, with the canine agents Wasko and Zero who made a demonstration when detecting drugs.
During the exhibition, Civil Guard personnel carried out a rescue simulation in the high mountains and showed the procedure to follow in case of detention of a dangerous person. They also performed a demonstration of the removal of an explosive device with the Miura Robot.
In addition, the students who attended had the opportunity to get on and see a helicopter of the Air Service of the Civil Guard. In addition to bringing girls and boys closer to the work and media of the security forces and bodies, this exhibition also aimed to collect food that will go to the Economic Kitchen of Ferrol.
