The Subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, visited today the NGO Sen Valos to know first-hand all the work that the organization is developing with the migrant community in the province.
During this meeting, the subdelegate was interested in knowing the different action programs that the organization has in place and that are aimed at the socio-labor inclusion of migrants through cultural intermediation, legal advice and training.
In the course of this visit María Rivas was able to learn about some of the most innovative projects of the organization that have to do with organic production in municipalities of the province.
The subdelegate was also interested in the creation of a social observatory that Sen Valos intends to carry out to analyze the unwanted loneliness of migrant women over 50 years of age who dedicated their lives to care and work at home.
María Rivas also highlighted the importance of the projects that the organization develops in rural areas and that contribute to establishing a population in line with the Government's measures to combat depopulation.
The subdelegate valued the work that Sen Valos is doing with the migrant population and tended to collaborate in the work of dissemination of the different projects they are developing.
María Rivas was also interested in the profile of users and users that Sen Valos has and what are the main problems they face. Today’s meeting was attended by the president of Sen Valos, Pachi Hurtado; the director Nahid El Amrani; the social integrator Zinthia Álvarez and the person in charge of employment, Alejandro Martín.
