The program, with a duration of five teaching hours, is divided into ten didactic units in which, among other issues, it focuses on aspects such as cyberbullying, identity supplantation, grooming, sexting, technoaddictions, rules to maintain the privacy of users, as well as resources and tips for safe navigation.
The subdelegate of the Government congratulated the students for completing this course and recognized the work done by the National Police to train in security in the use of the Internet, emphasizing to the students the importance of knowing not only the advantages, but also the risks involved in the use of these technologies and of communicating to their parents, school or the Police when they detect one of these dangers.
Maica Larriba stressed the importance of receiving this type of training and that minors know how to recognize that certain behaviors that are carried out through the Internet are considered a crime. The subdelegate also stressed to the students the importance of transmitting the knowledge acquired in their family environment, “thus helping parents, grandparents and grandmothers in the use of new technologies.”
Finally, the subdelegate wanted to take advantage of this event to pay a small tribute to the director of the school, who recently passed away, and thank her for her involvement in this program so that the students of the CEIP of Salcedo had been able to count on a training that had been beyond the school curriculum.
