The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) will award at the end of May the works of replacement of the roads affected by the work of Capacity Expansion of the AP-9, in the stretch between the links of O Morrazo and Teis, in the municipality of Chapela (Redonda). The new date has been confirmed by the subdelegate of the Government in Pontevedra, Maica Larriba, to the mayor of the town, Digna Rivas, in a meeting that has also been attended by the head of the State Road Demarcation in Galicia, Ángel del Río, the territorial head of Roads in Pontevedra, Pablo Domínguez Gómez and representatives of Audasa.
The works will consist of the replacement of the firm, construction of sidewalks, creation of landscaped areas and pedestrian paths, renovation of children's parks, creation of public spaces, and different works of urbanization on various public roads affected by the works of expansion of the highway, as well as in the upper passes of Trasmaño and Pasán, and in the environment of the IES of Chapela and the Health Center.
The works are estimated to last approximately ten months and will involve an investment of 4.1 million €.
Also, after the completion of the public information process, the project to build acoustic screens on the AP-9 motorway, in the same section between the links of O Morrazo and Teis, will be sent to MITMA for supervision and subsequent approval.
This project includes the installation of 20 mm thick polymethylmethacrylate acoustic screens, with heights varying between 1.5 and 4 m, and which will have a bearing structure in structural steel S-275JR and a stiffener perimeter frame, providing an acoustic attenuation of between 30 and 31.5 dB, so that the application regulations on noise in this section are complied with.
The works, which are estimated to last approximately nine months, will involve an investment of 7.1 million €.
