The subdelegate of the Government in Pontevedra, Maica Larriba, visited this morning the City of Forcarei where she was received by its mayor, Veronica Pichel, to present the program “A Administración Cerca de Ti” to the neighbors of this city, one of the last through which this initiative will pass. Since the beginning of its work in the city of Vilaboa in November, the program has already covered 31 of the 33 Pontevedra municipalities that it plans to reach. During these months, hundreds of people carried out different administrative procedures without the need to travel.
Every week, technical staff from the Government Subdelegation approaches municipalities in the province with less than 8,000 inhabitants, where they inform, guide and clear all doubts of the citizens about the digital services they can access.
The subdelegate of the Government in Pontevedra, Maica Larriba, today encouraged all the neighbors and neighbors of the municipalities to which this program remains to come to these appointments since it is “a unique opportunity to process the digital certificate, a key tool to be able to carry out countless administrative procedures without having to travel outside the home with the consequent saving of time and money that this entails.”
The subdelegate also showed her satisfaction with the receptivity of the citizens during these three months in which the program toured part of the territory of the province. In the regions of Deza and Tabeirós, the program visited the municipalities of Rodeiro, Vila de Cruces, Agolada, Dozón, Cerdigit-Cotobade and Forcarei.
Maica Larriba stressed the importance of providing digital tools to the citizens of the smaller municipalities so that they can carry out basic procedures from their homes such as the management of benefits, driving licences or certificates of working life or the payment of public fees, among others.
The subdelegate stressed that this initiative “is part of the commitment of the Government of Pedro Sánchez to advance territorial cohesion, combat the digital divide and guarantee access to public services to the rural population.”
Under the premise of “inform, train and help”, “The Administration Near You allows to bring the services offered by the General Administration of the State to the neighborhood of the whole territory, regardless of where they live.
Maica Larriba recalled that, although today “new technologies allow citizens to access the multitude of online procedures and electronic procedures, this access to digital administration requires adequate means and knowledge in the use of technological tools, something that the older population finds more difficult, and programs like this help to solve part of these difficulties.”
“The Administration Near You is a program put into operation by the Ministry of Territorial Policy in collaboration with the
