The Government Delegation in Galicia joins the celebration of the Open Administration Week, which is held between 20 and 24 March, with a program of events that extends to the four Galician provinces. The central day will be on Thursday, when the government delegate, José Miñones, will visit different headquarters of the General Administration of the State (AGE) accompanied by representatives of groups to show their functioning.
José Miñones stressed the importance of promoting transparency, accountability, citizen participation, public integrity and the collaboration of the AGE in the territory. The delegate valued that Open Government Week is a good opportunity for all citizens to approach the Administration and know the values of open government.
The Open Administration week will start on Monday 20 at 11.30 a.m. at the headquarters of the Government Delegation. The deputy delegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas will receive a group of students of FP of Administration and Finance of the IES Fernando Wirtz of A Coruña. Those interested in attending can register on the Delegation’s website.
In this activity, practical information will be given of the main services provided by the Delegation and the Subdelegation in A Coruña, with special attention to the services of foreigners, gender violence, transparency and first experience for young people.
Alliance for Open Government
Open Gov Week is an initiative promoted worldwide by the Open Gov Week and organized in Spain by the General Subdirectorate of Open Government of the Ministry of Finance and Public Function.
The objective of this initiative is to bring Public Administrations closer to the citizens, based on the principles of Open Government: transparency, accountability, citizen participation, public integrity and collaboration. With these actions, the Government wants the citizens to know closely the functioning of its public institutions.
