Ourense, March 15, 2023.- The subdelegate of the Government, Emilio González, has today announced that more than 1,350 companies in the province of Ourense have already benefited from the Digital Kit program, launched by the Government and which is part of the Recovery Plan. In total 6 million euros destined to support the digitization of these Ourense companies. In the whole of Galicia, the Government has already granted around 14,000 bonds, which means 65 million euros.
The digital kit aims to promote the digitization of small businesses, micro-enterprises and self-employed people, and contribute to modernizing the productive fabric and boosting the economy.
“These data represent a very important economic injection and a commitment to the economic development of companies that translates into a historical investment of the Government of Pedro Sánchez,” said Emilio González, reiterating the Government’s commitment to SMEs and people.
Today, the Subdelegate learned first-hand about the process of some of the companies that have requested the digital kit, to exchange impressions in a meeting with the directive and associates of the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Ourense – AJE Ourense – but above all “to highlight the importance of these funds that reach all places, all municipalities and all companies between zero and 49 employees to help them enter or consolidate themselves in the digital world, a necessary step for which there is no turning back”. During the meeting, he recalled that aid from the Digital Kit program may be requested until December 2024.
In the meeting held this morning in the subdelegation of the government, in addition to the board of directors of the association, both digitizing agents have participated with representatives of the companies Seritec and SOC Comunicación; as well as, beneficiaries of the digital kit thanks to which it has allowed them to improve their business in terms of creation and management of web pages, and reinforcement of the cybersecurity system of companies.
For her part, the president of the association, Nuria Iglesias, has informed the Subdelegate, “the receptiveness and importance that this type of investment has for the future of new SMEs where practically the entire business model is based on new technologies and artificial intelligence.”
For this program the Government has launched three calls: one of 12,000 euros for companies between 10 and less than 50 employees, open until March 15; another of 6,000 euros for companies between 3 and less than 10 employees and a third line of 2,000 euros for self-employed people with zero or less than three employees
The subdelegate has encouraged all those companies that have not yet applied for the digital voucher to do so and has explained that for this they can count on the help of the authorized digitizing agents that makes a diagnosis, tutela, orients and accompanies them in that digitizing process.
