The Government of Pedro Sánchez is already promoting the digitalization of 14,000 SMEs in Galicia through the digital bonds of the Kit Digital program, a program managed by the public company Red.es, within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Government. This has been advanced today by the government delegate in Galicia, José Miñones, and the general director of Red.es, Alberto Martínez during a visit to the company Habaziro from Cordoba, which has benefited from this program to implement technological tools for management, sale and external promotion.
“Today we face the Recovery Plan”, stressed the delegate during the meeting, in which Habaziro’s manager, Pablo Morales, and Ilatina’s manager, Miguel Angel Fernández, who is the digitizing agent who has been in charge of implementing these solutions in the developer, participated.
The support of the Digital Kit program may be requested until December 2024. The amounts of aid can be € 12,000, € 6,000 and € 2,000 depending on the number of employees that the company or self-employed has.
To date, this Program has awarded 14,000 digital bonds in Galicia, which means that around 65 million euros of the Recovery Plan have already reached the SMEs of Galicia to implement basic digitization solutions. In the province of A Coruña, almost 5,300 digital bonds have been awarded, amounting to 25 million euros.
A novel design
The CEO of Red.es has detailed the design process of the Kit Digital program, which adopted the premise that its management was simple, quick to grant and completely digital: “With this design we have managed to reduce the response time of the aid to 15 days”.
The results obtained so far make the Kit Digital program the largest private public collaboration program in Europe and make it an example for countries in the environment that want to implement similar programs. The director general of Red.es has advanced that 320,000 files have been processed throughout Spain.
One of the main novelties of the Digital Kit lies in its two-fold beneficiaries, and this is because it not only has a positive impact on the SMEs that receive the bonds, but also on the digitizing agents, which are the technological companies that are in charge of implementing the technological tools. Alberto Martínez has highlighted this dynamization of the local ICT sector, since 98% of the 10,200 digitizers that have joined the Kit Digital program are SMEs. Of these, 66% have obtained contracts related to digital bonds. In the case of Galicia, it has indicated that 561 Galician technological SMEs have joined the program as digitizing agents and that they have already signed about 8,200 contracts. At the national level, every day 1,800 agreements are registered between digitizing agents and SMEs that have obtained the bonus.
The Digital Kit in Habaziro
In the case of the pastry worker Habaziro de A Coruña, the Kit Digital program has allowed this company to modernize the enterprise resource planning system, in a way that optimizes the management of the merchandise and better controls the traceability of the product. They have also helped him to create an online ordering platform for home service, improve his website and strengthen his social media strategy.
