The deputy delegate of the Government, Isabel Rodríguez, today highlighted the Government’s commitment to bring the services provided by the State Administration to all corners of the province, “we are committed to offering Lucenses quality public services, with maximum transparency, and for that and fundamental to the participation of citizens and social groups, in order to move forward and improve the speed of public efforts.” He did so during the welcome to the Government Subdelegation to the associations that participated this morning in the Open Day, one of the events held in the province of Lugo on the occasion of the “Open Administration Week 2023”.
On the occasion of the Open Day, representatives of the Association Group of Seniors of Telefónica and the Fundación Secretariado Gitano visited the Government Subdelegation, interested in getting to know first-hand the operation of the institution in the province of Lugo. The deputy delegate thanked them for their participation in this initiative and the suggestions set out “to continue moving forward in an administration close to the citizen and effective in solving their problems”.
In the activity they were accompanied by the Secretary General of the Subdelegation, Victor Fraga, and they had the opportunity to visit different departments of the agency to receive information about its operation.
They also learned about the work of the Unit against Violence against Women or the Work and Immigration Unit. In addition, they received information on the different procedures and procedures that can be done through the Citizens’ File, which allows, for example, the electronic submission of documentation in public registries, the obtaining of cadastral data or the carrying out of seizures. They attended a practical demonstration of how to apply for a Digital Certificate and the operation of the Transparency portal of the Government of Spain and the wide range of information on administrative procedures that can be accessed through this channel.
Open Administration Week
Open Gov Week is an initiative promoted worldwide by the Open Gov Week and organized in Spain by the Government with the aim of bringing Public Administrations closer to the citizens, based on the principles of Open Government: transparency, accountability, citizen participation, public integrity and collaboration. With these actions, the Government wants citizens to be aware of the functioning of its public institutions, in addition to promoting the values of transparency and accountability, citizen participation, collaboration and integrity in the public service.
