Verín, February 16, 2023.- The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Emilio González, has highlighted the investments of the Government with the province of Ourense with more than 1.7 million euros in the renewal of the endowments of the offices of the Public Service of State Employment.
He did so during a visit to the new offices that the SEPE will open in the coming months in the town of Verín and that will mean an "improvement of infrastructures and services for citizens with the provision of new spaces for public attention". The new offices, located in Calle Camiño de Sousas, and which have received an investment for the reform of 324,480 €, are equipped with more complete services such as a waiting area for users, emergency exit and an air conditioning system that improves energy efficiency.
During the visit, the Deputy Delegate was accompanied by the Mayor of Verín, Gerardo Seoane, to whom he explained the new services that the SEPE makes available to citizens and that are already in operation, such as the management of procedures through telephone attention by appointment; and by the provincial director of the SEPE in the province, Celso Fernández, who reported on the status of the reform works of the other two SEPE headquarters in the province. The Carballiño office that receives an investment of 359,840 euros and the central office of Ourense located in the neighborhood of A Ponte with an investment of 719,680 euros and that are currently in execution.
Interprofessional Minimum Wage Increase
In the same vein, Emilio González highlighted the increase in the interprofessional minimum wage and stressed “that this is the focus of the actions of the Government of Pedro Sánchez, which allow to change people’s lives, especially in the region of Verín where most workers belong”. to the primary and service sectors. This increase represents an increase of 344 euros per month, 47% more than with previous governments.
Acceleration in job creation in February
Since the beginning of 2023, the Government has made progress in creating jobs with more than 92,600 jobs, of which 67,000 were created during the last month, tripling the average of the last quarter of 2022 with 23,713 new social security affiliations.
