Rubiá, February 10, 2023.- The Subdelegate of the Government, Emilio González, visits the repair works of the road on the N-120 at the height of the kilometric point 442 in the right lane in the direction of Ponferrada (in the Concello de Rubiá). Emilio González pointed out that this work is in addition to other work to improve the conditioning of the entire firm that is being carried out in the route of the road as it passes through the province and highlighted the commitment of the Government with this road network after the latest approvals for improvement announced by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda.
During the visit, the Subdelegate was accompanied by the provincial head of the road unit, Álvaro Aguiar. González pointed out that the repair, with an investment of 130 thousand euros, will reinforce the lower pass in a next phase, again allowing the passage of pedestrians to guarantee as soon as possible the road of the N-120, as an alternative axis of vital importance given the current circumstances of the A-6 motorway.
The repair of the lower structure that will end in the next few days is proposed by two differentiated actions. First, the lower passage portion that has not been damaged by the collapsing process will be reinforced. Later, the reconstruction of the collapsed area will be undertaken, and it has been necessary to demolish it.
Approval of the project to improve road safety in Pereiro de Aguiar and Nogueira de Ramuín
The Subdelegate of the Government of Pedro Sánchez highlighted the commitment of the Government of Pedro Sánchez with the mobility and road network of the province of Ourense and highlighted as very good news for the province the investment of 5.8 million euros after the provisional approval of the Mitma of the project of implementation of new overtaking lanes in Pereiro de Aguiar and Nogueira de Ramuín.
Last January, the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) approved a new and significant investment of 5.8 million euros in the improvement of road safety of the N-120 in the province of Ourense with the provisional approval of the project “Implementation of additional lanes between kilometer points 548.8 and 564.0”, in the province of Ourense. Submitted to public information with the announcement in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
The works included in this project consist of the conditioning of intersections and the implementation of additional lanes between the mentioned kilometer points of the N-120, located in the municipal areas of Ourense, O Pereiro de Aguiar and Nogueira de Ramuín increasing the safety of the route and the level of service allowing the overtaking of vehicles.
