The subdelegate of the Government in Pontevedra, Maica Larriba, presented and took stock today in Meis of the plan “A Administración Cerca de Ti”, which is bringing the tools of digital administration to 33 municipalities in the province. The City Council of Meis is the 24th city council visited by the staff of the Government Subdelegation within the framework of this initiative, framed in the demographic challenge policies of the Ministry of Territorial Policy in collaboration with the FEMP and which allows progress in eliminating the digital divide.
Maica Larriba made a “positive assessment of the reception that the program is having in the province of Pontevedra”. In addition, he stressed that the fundamental objective is “the digitalization of society and the universalization in access to services, regardless of the place of residence of each citizen.” In a province with a high rate of ruralization such as Pontevedra, “this is a great advantage, since it prevents the neighbors and neighbors of these municipalities from having to move from their villas to the city to carry out different procedures,” explained the subdelegate.
Maica Larriba supervised the session of this program in Meis at the Multipurpose Center of Mosteiro. It was accompanied by the mayor of the municipality, Marta Giráldez. There, he thanked the municipalities and the public officials who travel through the villages voluntarily for their collaboration. The program, which benefits more than 125,000 residents of the municipalities of the province of between 500 and 8,000 inhabitants, makes known and facilitates access to the catalog of electronic services of the General Administration of the State and, specifically, of the Subdelegation of the Government and Pontevedra.
Advise and manage
The Plan will now follow the schedule drawn up in collaboration with the municipalities, which establishes that every week, officials and officials of the Subdelegation travel to these localities to teach interested people to interact with the Administration digitally, resolve doubts and process, among others, the digital certificate of the FNMT, essential for many procedures and that can only be done in the physical presence of the person who requests it.
In the next few weeks, the officials of the Subdelegation will visit the last ten municipalities framed in the Plan: As Neves, Pontecesures, Arbo, Covelo, Agolada, Forcarei, A Illa de Arousa, Soutomaior y Ribadumia.
