The Secretary of State for Tourism, Rosana Morillo, and the delegate of the Government in Galicia, José Miñones, reaffirmed today in O Grove the commitment of the Government with territorial cohesion and the impulse to the modernization of tourism in Galicia, with the contribution of 2 million euros of the Government Recovery Plan for the development of the Tourist Sustainability Plan in Destination (PSTD) "A Gastromeca".
“The Government’s Recovery Plan continues to arrive strongly to the Ría de Arousa and becomes a unique opportunity to transform Galician tourism and this strategic area for the sector, projecting it into the future, with a green, sustainable, digital and competitive model,” said outside The Government delegate and the Secretary of State traveled to O Grove to visit places linked to the tourism plan. During the visit, in which the deputy delegate in Pontevedra, Maica Larriba, also participated, the mayor, José Antonio Cacabelos, was presented with the novelties of the Government and investments to promote sustainable tourism in the municipality.
The meeting highlighted the Government’s commitment, through the Ministry of Economy and Industry, Trade and Tourism, to the Grove and to the modernization of the tourism sector, one of the engines of the economy of this municipality. The Destination Tourism Sustainability Plan PSTD 'O Grove. Gastromeca' is driven by the City Council and has a budget of 2,000,000 euros, contributed by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism from the funds of the Recovery Plan.
