The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Emilio González, presided this morning a follow-up meeting and analysis of the procedures being carried out by the security forces and bodies in the field of gender violence in view of the concern about the situation of the increase in cases in the rest of the State that is taking place in recent months.
It was attended by the head of the Violence against Women Unit of the Government Subdelegation in Ourense, Alida Iglesias; representatives of the Family and Women Care Unit of the National Police in Ourense; representatives of the EMUME of the Civil Guard; representatives of the Autonomous Police and the Local Police of Ourense, Barbadás, O Barco de Valdeorras, Carballiño, Celanova, Maceda, A Rúa and Xinzo de Limia.
The subdelegate pointed out the need to obtain “as much data as possible on the aggressors in order to determine patterns of male chauvinistic behavior and carry out more accurate actions that will be fundamental for the protection of victims.”
During the meeting, the steps being carried out by the Security Forces and Bodies were analyzed in the instructions of the Ministry of Equality on the “zero protocol”, the “persistent aggressors” and “persistent cases”; as well as, the valuation of the agreements made in the provincial commission on the organic law 8/2021 of Integral Protection of Childhood and Adolescence and the organic law 10/2022 of Guarantee of Sexual Freedom, known as the law of the “Only If You Are Yes”.
