The Deputy Delegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, valued positively the implementation of the program “La Administración Cerca de Ti” of the Ministry of Territorial Policy, in collaboration with the FEMP, after the first two months, November and December, of operation, bringing the tools of the digital administration to 31 municipalities of the province. He did so during a visit this morning to the City of Barreiros in which he noted the good reception of this state initiative by the citizens “with which we seek that the neighbors of the rural access with simplicity to the services of the General Administration of the State, reinforcing equal opportunities, wherever you live,” he said.
During the meeting, the deputy delegate was accompanied by the mayor of Barreiros, Ana Ermida; and the deputy mayor, María Carmen Veiga, in which she highlighted the scope of this Plan, aimed at municipalities with less than 8,000 inhabitants, “with which the 59 municipalities will benefit, which represents 88% of the localities of the province, making a more useful and closer Administration for the Lucenses.”
Isabel Rodríguez pointed out that “The Administration Near You is part of the work that the Government of Spain is developing to respond to the new challenges faced by the municipalities with a smaller population, “facilitating and bringing the basic procedures of the Administration closer to the citizens living in rural areas and avoiding displacements to the capital of the province.” In this line, he explained that the program highlights the importance that the Central Executive has for the fight against depopulation, one of the main axes of action, “enhancing territorial cohesion, guaranteeing equal rights and eliminating the digital divide.”
The deputy delegate also thanked the support of municipalities such as Barreiros “because everything that is strengthening collaboration between administrations is fundamental to disseminate the plan and, in this way, reach the greatest number of people so that they have the necessary information and carry out their procedures telematically”. Likewise, he valued the work of the public officials of the Subdelegation of Lugo who are traveling through the province, with their technological equipment, visiting 52% of the municipalities in only the first two months of the program.
Together with Barreiros, this Plan of the Ministry of Territorial Policy was also presented in Guitiriz, Castroverde, Palas de Rei, Cervo, Paradela, Castro de Rei, Lourenzá, Láncara, Cervantes, O Incio, Riotorto, Abadín, Vacía, Triacastela, Folgoso do Courel, Xove, Guntín, O Páramo, Monterroso, Pol, Mondoñedo, O Corgo, Navia Bevalira, Caroussa and Caroussa.

The catalogue of electronic services of the Government Delegation in Galicia offers 125 procedures in a telematic manner, among which are procedures related to the services of Foreigners; payment of fees; communication of mobilizations; validation of foreign university degrees or the presentation of complaints or suggestions to the Administration.
