The Government Delegation, the Junta de Extremadura, the Provincial Councils of Badajoz and Cáceres, and the Federation of Municipalities and Provinces of Extremadura held a meeting this morning in order to organize, effectively, the delivery of humanitarian aid for those affected by the floods in the Valencian Community.
The public administrations are grateful to the people of Extremadura for their quick and forceful response in solidarity, to try to help the many families that have suffered and continue to suffer these days the effects of DANA. Taking into account the indications of the entities and organizations working in the field, it should be noted that at the moment the coverage of the expressed needs of food, clothing and belongings is guaranteed.
For this reason, and after the meeting held by the public administrations of Extremadura, the call for help to donate products, goods and clothing is concluded. From this moment, people who want to collaborate are recommended to do so with financial contributions through the channels enabled by the different NGOs installed in the territory and institutions.
Financial donations allow humanitarian organizations in the territory to quickly adapt their response to the changing needs of affected communities. They can buy exactly what is needed at the right time. In addition, it supports the local economy and reduces logistical costs.
Finally, the public institutions meeting are grateful to the people of Extremadura for their prompt response and for the constant displays of solidarity and generosity towards the thousands of people who are currently in need of help in Valencia.
