The government delegate in Extremadura, José Luis Quintana, today presided over the inauguration of the Centre for Social Welfare and Equality in Valverde de Leganés. Together with the mayor of the municipality of Valverdeño, Manuel Borrego, he has visited this center that will be a space of use and enjoyment for seniors and associations of the town, with new services and activities. This new municipal enclave is conceived as a multifunctional space where citizens can also have access to the advice of technicians from both the Social Services and the Family Care Program.
This modern building offers greater spaciousness and modernity, which contributes to a more effective and complete attention for all the neighbors and neighbors of Valverde de Leganés, providing a cozy and functional space that helps promote equality and social welfare in the municipality.
In her speech, Quintana showed the commitment of the Government of Spain to collaborate, through initiatives such as that of the City of Valverde de Leganés, in projects with an outstanding "social use and that are at the service of the people who most need the attention and solidarity of all". The government delegate in Extremadura has assured that with this new infrastructure “one more step is taken to continue advancing the objective of improving the quality of life and guaranteeing the well-being of the neighbors of Valverde”, he concluded.
During his visit to Valverde de Leganés, Quintana has also chaired the Local Security Board on the occasion of the celebration of the Festival of Regional Tourist Interest of La Escape-La Diabla that is held on August 24 with which the Fairs and Festivals of the town begin.
