The Subdelegation of the Government in Cáceres, Imex and the City of Cáceres, through the Equality Office, have organized the Territorial Coordination Table on Violence against Women 2024, which will take place on May 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the Raimundo Medina Civic Center in Cáceres.
For this day, a total of 70 professionals from different fields of intervention such as social, health, educational, State Security Forces and Bodies, NGOs have been registered.…
The table will have an initial pooling and updating of resources aimed at women victims, to continue with the presentation of Mrs. Verónica Moreno Durán, Secretary of the Governing Board of the ICAC that will deal with the legal assistance of the specialized office of violence against women.
Subsequently, Mrs. Cristina Aragón González, a psychologist specializing in victimology in the care and forensic field, will be given the opportunity to address psychological intervention with minors victims of gender violence.
This same day will take place in other municipalities of the region such as Toril, Trujillo, Moraleja, Plasencia, Arroyo de la Luz, in the Sports Center El Anillo, Zafra, Badajoz, Olivenza, Montijo, Villafranca de los Barros, Don Benito and Monterrubio de la Serena. It should be recalled that they are organized by the Government Delegation in Extremadura, IMEX and the Offices of Equality and are aimed at professionals from different fields.
These territorial bureaux consist of continuing to promote coordination between the different professionals who are acting in the territory in terms of equality and fight against gender violence, as reflected in Law 8/2011, of 23 March, on Equality between Women and Men and against Gender Violence in Extremadura (LIVGEX) and in Organic Law 1/2004, on Measures of Protection against Gender Violence.
The objectives are the creation of a space for training, reflection and debate on the work carried out against gender violence, as well as detection of those most relevant issues demanded by the professionals who are in the territory, and which will serve to train the professionals who intervene, directly or indirectly, with victims of gender violence.
The aim is to continue developing actions aimed at guaranteeing women victims of gender-based violence and their sons and daughters the right to comprehensive care and to improve working and communication strategies between the various actors directly or indirectly involved with victims of violence.
Conference organized by the Government Delegation in Extremadura
In this sense, the Government Delegation in Extremadura, through the Violence against Women Units of Cáceres and Badajoz, has been organizing training days on gender violence for years, aimed at the State Security Forces and Bodies and local police.
In the province of Cáceres the next training sessions will take place in the municipalities of Cáceres, Navalmoral de la Mata and Coria. In the province of Badajoz they will take place in Badajoz, Villanueva de la Serena and Monesterio.
