The government delegate in Extremadura, José Luis Quintana, together with the president of the Provincial Council of Badajoz, Miguel Ángel Gallardo, has presented today at the Hospital Centro Vivo of Badajoz the Office of Community Transformation Provincial (OTC), where he has said that the creation of measures such as this one if it improves the quality of life of citizens.
During his speech, the government delegate explained that provinces such as Badajoz, with a specific geographical and population structure; with an elderly rural population and with the need to improve services to combat the demographic challenge, needed a management model that covered all areas, starting with the awareness of citizens and culminating with the technical and economic resources to undertake this change.
In this sense, Quintana has insisted on betting on energy consumption, through renewable energies and self-consumption because, although it represents an initial investment, in the end a home becomes much less burdensome and a legacy much more bearable and attractive to children. “We are transforming Spanish society, its peoples, and adapting it to the new reality.”
The government delegate congratulated the County Council of Badajoz for the work it carries out and for its concern for the municipalities of the province and its citizens. “You are an example of what effective and efficient public management means, of which it solves problems, not of which it creates them where they do not exist.”
“Today, we take a very important step in the construction of a better Extremadura for the people of Extremadura. I have no doubt that you are going to achieve great successes in the development of a more sustainable, green and supportive province” concluded Quintana.
