The government delegate in Extremadura, José Luis Quintana, has highlighted the importance of betting on sustainability as an identity value of a territory. Quintana participated today in the inauguration of the Day of the Region of La Siberia or “Fiesta de la Jara en Flor”, in Esparragosa de Lares, where she highlighted the fact that in this region of Extremadura they have been able to combine sustainable business initiatives with good public services and with the empowerment of their culture, traditions and customs.
“The light, the water, the landscape, the nature, the villages, the people of Siberia are unique; and you are the only ones responsible for having preserved it and for having relaunched it so that it is an attractive environment for the young people and neighbors of the villages of the region to develop their life projects here,” he said.
In this regard, the government delegate stressed that La Siberia is an example today because it has been able to take advantage of its potential “to value what you have and what you are, to make this region a good place to live and to enjoy life”.
The Fiesta de la Jara en Flor becomes, every year, a reference event to praise and celebrate the values of La Siberia, strengthen ties between its 18 municipalities and promote a festive atmosphere in an unparalleled setting.
