The General Directorate of Traffic has launched today, April 15, a new speed control campaign, especially on conventional roads and on urban roads by the Traffic Groupings of the Civil Guard together with the regional traffic police interested. This campaign will run until Sunday, April 21.
The control and surveillance campaigns on the risk factors linked to speeding are inscribed in the relevance they have on road safety, both in the increase of the risk of accident while driving, and in the increase of the severity of the injuries of the accident victims.
Inappropriate speed should be considered to be the third most common concurrent factor in traffic accidents, especially in those accidents involving fatalities.
