The Deputy Delegate of the Government in Badajoz, Maribel Cortés, co-chaired today with the Mayor of Badajoz, Ignacio Gragera, the Local Security Board where the security device for the Carnival of Badajoz, Festival of International Tourist Interest, which will be held from February 9 to 18, has been established.
The security device will be composed of 654 National Police services, including citizen care services, UPR, canine services, explosive deactivation equipment and air safety; by the Civil Guard a total of 298 services will be carried out, 76 Citizen Security between the ten days, 56 USECIC services and 166 traffic services with alcohol and drug control points and speed. For its part, the Local Police provides 340 services.
The Red Cross will provide health support to all those who need it during the festivities and will have 79 personnel who will make 228 shifts in total; on the part of Civil Protection there will be about 125 services and 300 by the fire service of Badajoz.
