April 25, 2023. The deputy delegate of the Government in Cáceres, José Antonio García, presided today the meeting to prepare the campaign of cherries at the headquarters of the Mancomunidad del Valle del Jerte.
During the meeting, different issues that concern companies have been addressed, such as the hiring of workers, the development of the campaign, the treatment of destrío cherry and the prevention of theft and surveillance by the Civil Guard.
In order to facilitate the recruitment of foreign workers, the possibility has been raised of moving members of the Provincial Brigade of Foreigners and Borders of the National Police Force to the headquarters of the Mancomunidad del Valle del Jerte with the aim of bringing the administration closer to the citizens and thus expediting the obtaining of the necessary documentation for the discharge in the Social Security.
On the part of the Civil Guard, surveillance controls will be carried out to prevent any type of theft and illegal sale, as well as to guarantee food security to consumers.
In addition to the subdelegate of the Government in Cáceres, agents of the Civil Guard and the National Police, the mayors of the Mancomunidad del Valle del Jerte, companies and cooperatives of the area, and representatives of the Social Security and Office of Foreigners have participated in the meeting.
