About 120 troops will ensure the safety and proper development of the “Day of Light”, which will be held on April 10 and which expects to bring together about 15,000 people. This has been decided this morning at the Local Security Board, held in the town hall of Arroyo de la Luz and co-chaired by the subdelegate of the Government in Cáceres, José Antonio García and the mayor of the town, Carlos Caro.
The security device will be composed of a total of 80 agents of the Civil Guard, with the presence of the USECIC (Citizen Security Unit of Command) of Cáceres and the Traffic detachment, in addition to five Local Police agents, 36 private security guards and six civil protection volunteers to guarantee the safety of the Arroyanos.
In terms of health resources, there will be an advanced command post in 112 Extremadura; DYA will provide three health posts, as well as two mobile ICUs, two basic life support ambulances, a transfer ambulance, and three specialized vehicles, in addition to three doctors, five nurses and 25 DYA technicians.
In addition to the subdelegate of the Government in Cáceres and the mayor of the town, the meeting was attended by the Lieutenant Colonel of the Cáceres Command, agents of the Civil Guard, representatives of the Local Police, as well as the director of 112 of the Junta de Extremadura, the president of DYA and councilors of the city council.
