The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has visited the Ramón Llull bookstore on the occasion of the Day of Bookstores. The Valencian bookstore has been awarded this year with the Cultural Bookstore Prize 2025, awarded by the Spanish Confederation of Bookstore Guilds and Associations (CEGAL), with the support of the Ministry of Culture, for “its work over the last 25 years to help understand the present giving space to other literatures”, in reference to art, theater and cinema magazines.
In this event, the delegate highlighted the cultural programming of this bookstore “where critical thinking, freedom of expression and tolerance are promoted”. Bernabé recalled that the Government of Spain has allocated more than 4 million euros to the recovery of the cultural sector of the dana area to which one more million will be added to support the sectors of cinema, books, cultural heritage, performing arts, music and visual arts affected, as announced by the Ministry of Culture last October.
