In her speech at the conference 'What we learned from the dana', organized by the socialists in the European Parliament with the participation of mayors from some of the affected localities and organizations of victims, the Community Vice-President said that in the affected villages "an amount of water equivalent to four times the mouth of the Ebro" passed, but in any case we must learn lessons and improve the preparation for future crises. Ribera has pointed out that the more we know about these climate disasters, the better preparation and coordination there is, the greater the capacity to face these risks that "will hardly cease to exist". In this way, he has asked to adapt early warning capabilities and improve allocations, although he has stressed that all these tools and meteorological and hydrological alerts already exist, so he has stressed that the first thing is not to deny the reality of the phenomenon. "We are facing phenomena that are increasingly outside of what has been normality until now," he warned. The Vice-President of the European Commission has stressed that the first thing must be to reject the wave of climate negationism since "not by denying reality, it ceases to exist". The Delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has visited the information and solidarity table that the Spanish Association of Metastatic Breast Cancer has installed together with the City of València on the occasion of World Breast Cancer Day, which was held on October 13.

Bernabé has shown solidarity with this group that has “all the support of the Government of Spain”. The delegate has also urged “the strengthening of prevention and early detection programs by the competent administrations” to deal with this disease.
