On the occasion of Open Administration Week, the headquarters of the Government Delegation in the Valencian Community and the Government Subdelegations in Alicante, Castellón and Valencia welcome the citizens in a fortnight of activities, which aim to praise the principles of Open Government: transparency, accountability, public integrity, collaboration and citizen participation.
The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, stressed that, precisely, “guaranteeing the principles of Open Government is a priority for the central administration” and thanked “the rigour and professionalism of the people who provide their service in the Government Delegation and in the Subdelegations so that citizens receive the attention and support that corresponds to them”.
Open Government Week 2025, promoted worldwide by the Alliance for Open Government, to which Spain has been a member since 2011, has as its main objective to bring Public Administrations closer to the citizens and, in this case, also to publicize the plan “The Administration near you”.
This action allows different groups of Valencian society such as young students, elderly people, associations of foreigners or women’s associations, among others, to know the activity of the Government Delegation and Subdelegations and the services provided through these institutions.
Thus, in the province of Valencia you can visit in the town hall of Quart de Poblet an exhibition of awareness campaigns against gender violence or visit the headquarters of the Government Delegation, located in the Palace of the Temple, declared a Property of Cultural Interest since 1978.
In Alicante, students from different schools will attend a talk on prevention measures and self-protection against natural risks and students from the Legal Clinic of the University of Alicante will know more about the Immigration procedures.
For its part in Castellón, different days will be held to publicize the resources available to the General Administration of the State.
