The Government delegate in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has held a meeting with the Government Commissioner for Reconstruction, José María Ángel, and the Subdelegate of the Government in Valencia, José Rodríguez Jury, with the Federació de Parcs Industrials de la Comunitat Valenciana (FEPEVAL) to inform, channel and follow up the Government’s aid and plans linked to those affected by the dana.
Bernabé has claimed “the work” developed by the Government of Spain to “speed up the deadlines when it comes to paying compensation”. In this sense, he pointed out that since the dana “the number of experts in the territory has multiplied by four so that they can act more quickly and diligently and the pace of payments has multiplied by ten with respect to other catastrophic situations that have occurred in our country.”
At the moment, said Bernabé, “it is already almost 300 million euros the Government has given directly to SMEs and the self-employed, aid paid above 80%, and that they are receiving directly in their current accounts SMEs and the self-employed”. This aid can reach 150,000 euros, also depending on the turnover. The delegate stressed that today the deadline of the Mechanism Restart+FESME DANA has been opened, endowed with €350M. As he said, these are participatory loans with a non-refundable share to small and medium-sized enterprises in the industrial, tourism and services sectors of the municipalities affected by the dana. The amount of the loan will range from 25,000 euros to 150,000 euros, with a repayment period of up to 7 years and 2 years of shortage. The non-refundable portion can reach up to 15% of the loan amount, to be distributed among all quotas. And the refundable portion will have a 0% interest.
Bernabé has informed the representatives of FEPEVAL of the existence of three working groups on the actions of the Government on the dana and has invited the representatives of the industrial estates to join the group on industry.
