The Spanish Armed Forces continue with 8,500 military personnel deployed in the province of Valencia during this weekend, to continue with the recovery tasks in the municipalities of Alaquàs, Aldaia, Albal, Alborache, Alfafar, Alfarb, Algemesí, Benetússer, Beniparrell, Bétera, Catarroja, Cheste, Chiva, Gestalgar, Loriguilla, Manises, Massanassa, Paiporta, Picanya, Riba-roja, Davutií, Torrent.
The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, wanted to highlight “the great effort being made by the Armed Forces, with these 8,500 troops, of the different armies and the Military Emergency Unit (UME), which are distributed in different municipalities of the province of Valencia, where they work twenty-four hours seven days a week, in different tasks and tasks that have been required by the emergency management.”
Bernabé pointed out that “the tasks of cleaning, extracting sludge from garages, searching for missing persons together with the Civil Guard, among others, are essential and a priority in order to recover the necessary normality. A work in which the women and men who make up our Armed Forces demonstrate every day their professionalism and empathy with the neighbors and neighbors of the municipalities affected by the dana”.
Thus, the Army has mobilized its units to carry out work of cleaning mud from garages and basements, street loopholes, search operations for missing persons, cleaning public areas such as parks and gardens, as well as cleaning public buildings and street margins. The delegate of the Government has underlined and thanked “the commitment, effort, dedication and involvement of our Armed Forces in the recovery and reconstruction of the Valencian municipalities.
