Constituted the more than 6,100 electoral tables of the Valencian Community without incident

The 6,173 polling stations where the vote can be held today in the Valencian Community have been set up at the scheduled time without incident. The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, explained that the day “has begun with total normality and all the electoral colleges have opened their doors without significant incidents”. In total, there are “2,211 schools, in which more than 3.8 million Valencians have the right to vote”.

The Government delegate has highlighted the “speed” with which the polling stations have been constituted in these elections and has thanked the members of the polling stations “for their commitment and effectiveness”. Today, the polling stations will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In the European Parliament elections of this 9J, 3,817,756 people are called to the polls. Of the total, 3,637,496 are residents of Spain, 48,055 are foreigners residing in Spain and 132,205 Spanish residents abroad.

More than 98.3 million ballot papers

The Government Delegation in the Valencian Community has distributed 98,352,016 ballot papers for the European Parliament elections, among the 2,211 polling stations. Of the total number of ballot papers, 88,567,496 are ordinary ballot papers and 9,784,520 are postal and foreign ballot papers. The Comunitat Valenciana has 6,173 tables distributed with 6,173 voting booths and 12,440 ballot boxes.

In addition, in order to facilitate the task of the members of the data transmission tables to the Subdelegations, a total of 2,919 representatives of the Administration are appointed who will have tablets and mobile phones available.

Security device

Likewise, to guarantee security in the electoral process, 9,450 agents of the Security Forces and Corps, whose cost for this day is assumed by the General Administration of the State, will serve today. Of the total, 4,935 are members of the Civil Guard, 3,019 of the National Police and 1,390 of the various Local Police. To them, we must add the 106 agents of the Seconded Unit.

Transfers of people with mobility problems

The Government Delegation in the Valencian Community, in collaboration with the Red Cross, also offers a free transport service to facilitate the right to vote in person to people with mobility problems who require it.

In total, 175 people have requested the service in the Valencian Community. It is about 56 people in Alicante, 104 in València and 15 in Castellón. To provide the service, 7 ambulances, 12 adapted vehicles and 17 transport vehicles have been mobilized. In addition, the device has the participation of 72 people, including health emergency technicians, drivers and accompanying personnel.
