The subdelegate of Government, José Rodríguez Jury, has held a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Health, together with territorial health police interlocutors of the State Security Forces and Bodies, to implement the protocol of coordination between them, in accordance with Instruction 3/2017 and under the frame of reference of the Integral Plan of Prevention of Aggressions in the Health Environment.
After the meeting, Rodríguez highlighted “the positive attitude and the sharing of efforts to take measures between aggressions in the health environment and good harmony with the participants in the meeting”, in which the signing of the constitution of the Autonomous Coordination Commission was concluded, before the summer.
The functions of this Commission will be the establishment of common criteria for the actions in the Health Departments and health centers; and the coordination and monitoring of these actions and exchange of information. Composed of all the parties, this committee will be under the coordination of the Subdelegation of the Government in Valencia.
At the meeting, it has opted to act with agile communication channels and effective mechanisms to take precise measures to increase safety, coordinating common objectives and adopting joint measures in the face of attacks by health personnel.
In addition, the subdelegate stressed “the need for timely complaints by victims after the attacks, not only to be able to act before the aggressors in a judicial way, but also to have real figures of the criminal activity”, so it has been agreed to strengthen the training work of the police interlocutors. In fact, the contexts of health professionals and their environment have been updated, and information has been exchanged on the result of the training talks given by the State Security Forces and Corps, which are intended to be incorporated into the mandatory training of employees.
