The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, after signing the agreement of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda for the construction, in the Community, of public housing destined for affordable rent, has highlighted that “for the Government of Spain access to housing is a priority in this legislature. Therefore, we approved the Housing Law, so that it becomes the fifth pillar of the welfare state.”
The agreement signed with the Valencian autonomy “has an investment of more than 29 million euros for the construction of a total of 685 homes in the public park, so that young people and all people have the possibility to access a home under conditions of equality,” he explained.
The Ministry has planned that the homes will be distributed in the municipalities of Castelló de la Plana, Sagunt, El Puig, València, Xàbia, Benidorm and Vila Joiosa.
Bernabé stressed that “housing is a right, and the Government of Pedro Sánchez knows it, is aware, and therefore we have made a determined commitment to make it so”.
