· Bernabé explains that “with the beginning of the citrus campaign we have started a coordination work with the agricultural organizations”
· Data from the ROCA teams of the Civil Guard, for the province of Valencia, reveal that in September 2023 there were 53.2% fewer robberies in the field than in the same month of 2022
The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, and the subdelegate of the Government in València, Raquel Ibáñez, held today a meeting with the agricultural organizations La Unidas Llauradora i Ramadera, AVA-ASAJA, UPA, CCPV-COAG and the Federation of Agri-Food Cooperatives, coinciding with the beginning of the citrus campaign.
Bernabé explained that, “with the beginning of the citrus campaign, we are carrying out a coordination work with agricultural organizations in the three provinces. The objective is to adapt, in a better way, to the territory and its crops. Therefore, these meetings are not only provincial, since we will also make some district for more specific crops.”
Agents of the ROCA teams of the Civil Guard have also participated in the meeting to explain the work that is already being carried out: monitoring, traceability control and documentation of the fruits of the crops through the DATA (agricultural traceability accompanying document) and the REGEPA (Non-owner Agricultural Product Registry).
Bernabé stressed that “there are fewer infractions and robberies, since, according to data from the Civil Guard for September 2023, in the province of València the robberies have fallen by 53.2%, compared to September 2022. But we are aware of the security issues that concern the Valencian countryside and agricultural organizations. That’s why we met with their representatives today.”
