· The Government delegate meets with the General Director of the Valencia Parque Central Society to learn about the evolution of the project
· Pilar Bernabé stresses that “the Mediterranean Corridor and the passing tunnel are an unstoppable reality”
The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has pointed out that “the good rhythm” with which the works of the Railway Access Channel to the city of Valencia go shows the commitment of the Government with the Valencian Community.
The delegate has held a meeting with the general director of the Valencia Parque Central Society, Salvador Martínez Ciscar, to know the status and evolution of the works of the Access Channel and the remodeling of the Joaquín Sorolla station. After this meeting, the delegate stressed that these actions that began 10 months ago “represent another step in the Mediterranean Corridor, which is vital for the Valencian Community and High Speed”.
The works, as the delegate insisted, “go at the right pace to comply with the temporality of the European Next Generation funds”. Bernabé has indicated that “it must be recognized that it has been the governments of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero and Pedro Sánchez that have marked the main railway milestones of the city of València in the face of the drought established by the PP”. Thus, he said, the works of the access channel that have an investment of 443 million euros were launched.
Bernabé also stressed that “the Government is clear that the passing tunnel is essential to continue with the good pace of the Mediterranean Corridor”, in which 4,400 M€ has already been invested, “one tender per week. The Mediterranean Corridor is “an unstoppable reality and the passing tunnel is also an unstoppable reality”, said the delegate.
