· Given the good weather forecast, Costas has streamlined its work so that users can enjoy this regenerated area
· The delegate of the Government values “the work done diligently for the recovery of the beaches of the south with the minimum discomfort for the users”
The Government Delegation puts at the disposal of the citizens the first 3 regenerated kilometers of the beaches of the south of Valencia. The Demarcation of Coasts, under the Ministry of Ecological Transition, has streamlined its work so that, in view of the good weather forecasts, users can enjoy this area already regenerated throughout the festive season.
The delegate of the Government in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has highlighted “the work done diligently” by Costas “to advance in time in the recovery of the beaches, with minimum discomfort for users”.
Bernabé recalled that the restoration works of the beaches of the south of Valencia have a budget of 28M€, “the largest investment planned on the Spanish coasts for this year”. Through these actions, 3,000,000 cubic meters of sand will be poured along 7 kilometers of coastline between Pinedo and the Gola de Puchol. These works “will manage to return the physiognomy that this area had in the 70s”, according to Barnabas.
The completion of the regeneration is scheduled for October 24, when the dredger will move to Denia where other regeneration works will be carried out with a budget of 19M€.
